Hey guys, how is everyone doing and holding up?
It’s Day 5 of lockdown and the world continues to engulf in fear and uncertainty as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.
Didn’t think we would live to see this day, huh?
I had lost track of what day of the week it was until a friend reminded me that it’s Sunday and it’s time to tune in to httb for online sermons.
It’s amazing how we can all continue to stay connected even though we are isolated.
During the prayer segment, my pastor mentioned that he’s got a feeling that someone is suffering from indigestion and acid reflux and he would like to pray for that person and I was like… *gasps* OMG, THAT’S ME! I didn’t feel too good yesterday because of the reasons he mentioned.
Right after that, I received a text from Nunuk (a junior pastor who comes to my house every now and then to teach me bible study) checking in if I was doing okay.
I immediately burst into tears as I continued to worship God.
I’m not gonna lie… but I’ve never felt so isolated in my life. It’s probably the worst time to be staying alone when we’re all under the RMO. It’s a challenge to keep sane but I’m really thankful for my friends who continue to “show up”.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m whining here because I know staying in is a privilege compared to the front liners battling against the coronavirus disease.
I just wanna share my amazing experience when I was overwhelmed by the spirit of God which I haven’t felt for a long long time. It was an assurance that I am not alone for He is with me.
It goes to show that God is omnipresent, He is always with you, He sees everything and acts anywhere He chooses.
During these trying times, it’s hard to stay positive at all times and we humans tend to think the worst of everything. Yes, it’s certainly possible that something bad you think could occur, would occur, but it’s NOT happening YET or NOW. Cast your worries aside and do not surrender to fear.
Now is the best time to slow things down a little if you have been living in a fast-paced setting. Take the time to reflect and set new goals. Do things that you’ve always wanted to do but have no time for. Connect with your family members or friends whom you haven’t spoken to for a long time. Stay positive, be grateful and continue to pray for the world and the safety of the front liners. Ours heroes.

May we come out stronger than before.
Keep safe and stay sane!
